  • Senior Product Manager - Digital

    POSITION SUMMARY: A strong self-starter with experience managing top-tier video and mobile games.     Reports to: Sr. Director, Organized Play, Marketing & Events

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop comprehensive strategies and execute all aspects of the marketing plans for the Yu-Gi-Oh! digital game portfolio, including, but not limited to, target market identification and analysis, budgeting, category and competitive analysis, with a focus on new user acquisition and strong ROI.
    • Collaborate with the Card Business department to improve integration of various programs with official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG digital channels and events, such as social media campaigns, influencer marketing, and offline Organized Play initiatives and events.
    • Oversee the placement of online, print and TV advertising and the development of key assets including ad copy, scripts and editorial messaging.
    • Assist with the implementation of cross-promotional opportunities with other licensees.
    • Build relationships with all first party: Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Steam, iOS and Android
    • Coordinating with other KDE offices to align marketing strategies and promotions for our digital properties
    • Obtain necessary approvals for all marketing-related activities to ensure compliance with licensors, first-parties, etc.
    • Work closely with Business Strategy to create and implement cross-promotional campaigns.
    • Work with Product Manager – Digital on strategy and execution of marketing plans
    • Work with Product Manager – Digital on direction for Social Media, Website and Influencer programs to grow our digital brands

     

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

    • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques using SNS.
    • Experience with placing both online and offline advertising.
    • Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work with limited supervision.
    • Personal initiative and sound business judgment required to identify, evaluate and respond to job needs.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, to write product copy. Must be comfortable speaking to all levels of management.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience of at least 8 years.
    • 6 to 8 years of experience in marketing video games, including mobile, live, and console games, and/or digital entertainment industries.

  • OP and Events Specialist

    POSITION SUMMARY: The OP and Events Specialist will be primarily responsible for managing all aspects of tradeshow and premier events participation for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME. He/she must work closely with several cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Organized Play, R&D, and Production to achieve or exceed overall corporate goals. The ideal candidate should have experience managing both trade and consumer tradeshows and working with production agencies and vendors to coordinate and execute all event needs.

    Reports to: Director of Organized Play

    Key Duties and Tasks:

    • Initiate and execute all aspects of tradeshow (in person and digital) and convention participation, including shipping, booth design, graphics, presentations, A/V, collateral, meeting rooms, transportation, hotel accommodations, staff schedule and badges.
    • Work with the Organized Play team on Premier Event locations, and then coordinate all aspects of premier-level OP tournaments, including but not limited to space negotiation, hotel blocks, and design of tournament area.
    • Work directly with Sales, Marketing, Organized Play and Production teams to ensure that all event needs are met. The OP and Events Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, KONAMI, and Card Business Department objectives are well represented and fulfilled at each show.
    • Create pre-event approval documents for internal review and submission to HQ, working with the OP, Marketing and Sales Teams to gather all the required information.
    • Manage event budgets and ensure all invoices and actual expenditures reports are submitted in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate and lead all pre- and post-event meetings, reports and event recaps.
    • Direct production agencies and event vendors with the coordination and execution of all pre- and post-event logistics.
    • Create post-event recaps to demonstrate effectiveness of events and show that KPIs are met within approved budget
    • Act as the key point of contact for on-site event needs for tradeshows and conventions when attending, such as staff schedules and overseeing volunteers.
    • Gather research data at events to monitor competitor booths and activities, measure effectiveness of event promotions and general marketing strategies.
    • Coordinate and plan seasonal department meetings.
    • Plan annual vendor gift program working with Sales and Marketing to determine production vendor and item selection.
    • Assist senior management as necessary.

     

    Qualifications:

    • BA/BS required.
    • 3-4+ years relevant experience in gaming, consumer packaged goods, and/or digital entertainment industries strongly desired, with at least 2 years of relevant event management experience.
    • Ability to work with limited supervision. Personal initiative and sound business judgment required to identify, evaluate and respond to event needs.
    • Expert with MS office suite (Power Point, Excel, Word).
    • Good oral and written communication skills. Must be comfortable speaking to all levels of management.
    • Professional, with exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • USER ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

    Job description

    1. Result-Driven User Acquisition Digital Marketing (40%)
    – Develop, manage, and optimize user acquisition/engagement campaigns across mobile platforms through research, and measurement of key KPIs to meet ROI goals. Also, develop and manage creatives and copies to provide the most effective multi-language marketing activities in the global market by working closely with our in-house creative team, related departments, and partners. Uses Adobe Creative Suite, SQL, SPSS, R, Python and Adobe Analytics.
    2. Marketing Research and Data Analysis (40%)
    – Analysis and data investigation of KPI’s from both performance-based and brand marketing and conduct in-depth post-campaign analytics and other ad-hoc analysis – leading marketing measurement efforts, targeting, segmentation, and media mix modeling. Also, conduct general marketing research within competitors and the current market.  Uses SQL, SPSS, R, Python, Adobe Analytics
    3. Global marketing and branding for PES brand, focusing on mobile gaming (20%)
    – Create framework for managing, analyzing, and optimizing marketing activities together with user acquisition. Also, create marketing collateral and strategize mobile advertising, and implement new marketing partners. Furthermore, collaborate with cross-functional teams, including international production team to identify opportunities and implement recommendations in an effort to improve the game

  • Associate Product Manager

    Job Title: Associate Product Manager Department: Card Business Division Reports to: Marketing Manager POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for executing brand and marketing plans for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME products as well as Organized Play events. They must work closely with several cross functional teams including R&D, Web & Social, Digital Games, Production, and Sales to achieve or exceed overall corporate goals. The ideal candidate should have experience managing licensed consumer brands and marketing campaigns targeting boys 8-14, be organized and detail oriented, and be a team player.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Work closely with R&D to develop and refine communication strategies for products, including product positioning, creative strategy, advertising execution, promotion development and execution, with a focus on new user acquisition.
    • Assist with developing and implementing strategic product positioning, define and set budgets with Marketing Manager, and assist with marketing plans.
    • Assist with developing product briefs for trade, consumer-facing product pages, marketing summaries, and other promotional programs to enhance sales of products.
    • Communicate with the external PR agency to maintain cohesive corporate and product messaging and develop strategies for user retention as well as new user acquisition.
    • Work with the Associate Social Media and Content Manager to vet, develop and maintain relationships with content creators, while working closely with the PR agency on content creator activations, to ensure they meet brand guidelines.
